About
Louise van den Muyzenberg was born in Sweden, moving to England age 13. Her earlier watercolours were of the West Coast of Sweden. Rocks from the islands and small fishing villages. She exhibited locally and in galleries in Gothenburg. She studied at Gerlesborg’s School, Bohuslän.
My formative influence throughout painting has been Arne Isacsson because of his commitment to watercolour as a modern medium.
Recently she has focused on objects up close; the delight in solitary flowers, apples from the village, a stone and shell fitting together. She is working on developing a language within life drawing, using watercolours as expressive of mood, with a view to create a series.
